When I first saw the trailer of Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania, to say that I had high expectations for the film was an understatement. With a grown-up Cassie actively involved in the new quantum-realm adventure and the movie being the first of Phase Five of the Marvel Universe, I had my feet impatiently tapping for the calendars to mark February 6, 2023.
The movie marks our minds with its humor and introduction of a new major villain. And I don’t have to speak about Ant-Man, right? Paul Rudd eases into our hearts more with each Ant-Man movie.
Alert: Unless you have already seen the movie, I suggest you turn back now. This article will feature some spoilers of the film that, if you don’t mind being revealed to you, by all means, go forth into the quantum details!
With Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania featuring a powerful new villain and set in the Quantum Realm, deaths were expected. And Marvel delivers shocking deaths quite sometimes. MODOK and Kang die in Ant-Man 3. Lord Krylar also appears to be killed in the movie.
1. Does Ant-Man die in Ant-Man 3?
Ant-Man, as usual, takes several risks and inches close to death several times, but he does not die in Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania.
After all, what is one of our favorite Marvel movie series without its titular character Ant-Man? We are nowhere near seeing Scott Lang on-screen for the last time.
2. Does The Wasp die in Ant-Man 3?
Like Ant-Man, The Wasp does not die in Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania. One of the protagonists of the movie series, she comes close to dying several times in the movie and escapes every time.
Hope van Dyne has her luck by her side as she stars in extremely dangerous situations in Ant-Man 3 more than in any other movie. She avoids death throughout and is safe and sound by the movie’s end.
3. Does Cassie die in Ant-Man 3?
Although Cassie was sentenced to death by Kang, she escapes with her life intact in Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania. She does not die in Ant-Man 3.
In the movie, Cassie is held hostage by Kang, and we know he will have no qualms about killing her. But, he promises not to kill her on Scott working with him. But as Scott begins to rebel against Kang, the latter orders MODOK to kill her.
Cassie, the bright and witty girl as we knew her in the previous Ant-Man films, turns the tables and convinces MODOK that he is on the wrong side of the battle. MODOK thus switches loyalty to Cassie’s side, and she saves her own life.
4. Does Hank die in Ant-Man 3?
Hank van Dyne stunningly does not die in Ant-man and The Wasp: Quantumania when his ship crashes. He utilizes his power to control the ants and is alive at the end of the film.
While fighting Kang, when Hank’s ship goes down, it is a moment of anxiety for the audience, and we are scared for his life. However, Hank miraculously escapes from the Quantum Realm with help from his army of ants and remains alive in the film.
5. Does Janet die in Ant-Man 3?
Janet does not die in Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania. The first Wasp, she is very resilient and survives a second dangerous trip to the Quantum Realm. She is alive at the end of Ant-Man 3.
We knew how determined and obstinate she was when we realized she was still alive and sane after her 30 years of ordeal in the Quantum Realm. This time too, after being unexpectedly sucked into the Quantum Realm, she successfully battles the world and people she knew before for the right cause.
She escapes from the Quantum Realm for a second time and is alive at the film’s end.
6. Does MODOK die in Ant-Man 3?
MODOK, in an unexpected set of events, dies in Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania. Kang kills him after he goes against the former in battle.
In Ant-Man 3, MODOK, or Mechanized Organism Designed Only for Killing, is revealed to be Darren Cross, who Kang finds after being lost in the battle with Ant-Man in the first movie.
In the movie, he becomes Kang’s assassin and is sent to kill Cassie. She is, however, in an ironic way, able to transform his mind into fighting on the right side of the battle. This happens in the final battle, and for switching his loyalty to the opposite cause, he is killed by Kang. Thus he dies a death befitting an Avenger, fighting against wrong in battle.
7. Does Kang die in Ant-Man 3?
Kang does die in Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania. However, in the end credits, his character is shown to return, which hints that the Kang who died in the movie is only one variant. Scott kills him with Hope’s help.
Kang the Conqueror is killed in the final battle of Ant-Man 3. After Cassie, Hope, Janet, and Hank escape the Quantum Realm, Scott is left in an intense battle with Kang, and the situation seems to be going south.
Hope appears again on-scene at the right moment and helps Scott end Kang. Kang is shown to be vaporized by the Timesphere engine he was making.
The movie’s end credits declare that ‘Kang Will Return,’ meaning that the Kang that was killed in the film was probably only a variant, like the Kang we saw in the Loki series. The villain of Ant-Man 3, Kang, is killed at the end of the movie.
8. Which characters die in Ant-Man 3?
Ant-Man 3 features the death of its major villains, Kang and MODOK (though MODOK switched to the right side at the end). The protagonists and the good guys do not suffer important character deaths.
Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania features a scene that probably resulted in the death of Lord Krylar, the Governor of Axia. He is shown as being about to be fatally attacked by a frightening creature who is avenging his friend.
Several soldiers of Kang’s army and freedom fighters of the Quantum Realm also suffer death in the battle with Kang.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is an American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics characters Scott Lang / Ant-Man and Hope van Dyne / Wasp. Produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Motion Pictures, it is intended to continue the story of Ant-Man after Ant-Man (2015) and Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018) as a part of the MCU.
Directed by Peyton Reed, it was released on February 17, 2023. Filming began in early February 2021 in Turkey and was also shot in Atlanta, London, and Los Angeles.
It is the thirty-second film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the first instalment of the MCU’s Phase V. The movie follows Scott Lang and Hope Van Dyne, along with Hank Pym, Janet Van Dyne and Cassie Lang, battling against the evil time traveler Kang the Conqueror.
