I. Meeting Each Other
In 1511, Sofia was returning to Constantinople from Rhodes on a boat. It was the same boat on which Ezio was traveling. Nevertheless, they didn’t meet each other on the ship.
The plot on which Sofia’s shop was built used to be a trading post of Niccolo and Maffeo Polo, the founders of the Assassin Guild. As a result, the search for Masyaf keys led Ezio to the same spot.
Upon finding a secret pathway under the shop, he shared his concerns with Sofia, the shop owner. He discussed his intentions of getting his hands on a map and one of the five keys. Fortunately, Sofia decided to help him by offering to deduce the location of the books via the map as they contain the clue to the other keys.
In return, Sofia asked to borrow the books from Ezio once he didn’t need them. The assassin agreed and left the shop.
II. Searching for the Books

III. Sofia’s Abduction

IV. Heading to Masyaf
Eventually, Ezio and Sofia catch up to the Prince and retrieve the keys. Nevertheless, before Ezio can kill Ahmet, his brother Selim shows up and pushes him off the cliff.
Shortly after, Selim, the new Sultan, banishes Ezio, and just as he’s about to retaliate, Sofia asks him to stop. She assures him that the right thing to do is head to Masyaf.
Sofia waits for Ezio while he unlocks the room in the fort of Masyaf. Once he concludes his quest and walks out, both leave to cover one more stop before heading for Rome, their final destination.
V. Tying the Knot
After establishing a deeper connection over the course of the whole quest, Ezio and Sofia experience a newfound love for each other. As a result, they decide to tie the knot in Venice.
Sometime later, they move back to Constantinople and turn the bookshop into an archive for the Assassins. Ezio announces retirement as the mentor of the Italian Brotherhood of Assassins.
They settle in Tuscany, and after a few years, Sofia gives birth to Flavia and Marcelo. Subsequently, in the most clichéd sense, they live happily ever after.
