The Ahsoka season finale aired last week and we’re all still recovering from it. Unlike other Star Wars shows, the death count in Ahsoka season 1 seems to be much lower.
When I say death count, I mean the death of a major character. Not to be mean or anything, but to keep track of every random unnamed night trooper, droid, or shadow collective slayed by Ahsoka or Sabine is too much of an effort. In the first season of Ahsoka, we only say goodbye to one major character.
Morgan Elsbeth is the only major character to die in Ahsoka season 1.
1. There are no other major character deaths in season 1.
In the Ahsoka season 1 finale, Morgan Elsbeth fights Ahsoka in a lightsaber duel in which she loses her hand. However, that is not how she dies.
After the duel, Thrawn tells Ahsoka that he has planted a bomb on his ship in order to destroy Lothal and everyone on the planet. Thrawn asks Ahsoka to choose between joining hands with him or dying with her friends.
Ahsoka refuses to join Thrawn and escapes with Sabine and the others. Although Thrawn escapes the planet with the Nightsisters, Morgan Elsbeth has to stay back on the planet on Thrawn’s orders. As a result, she dies in the explosion.
Apart from Elsbeth, we do not have to say goodbye to any other important character in this season. However, there may be major deaths in the next season if the show returns for another one.

Ahsoka is a Star Wars show on Disney+. Created by Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni, the show sees Rosario Dawson returning as Ahsoka Tano.
The series follows Anakin’s former Padawan Ahsoka Tano as she hunts the Chiss dictator Grand Admiral Thrawn, who plans to take over the galaxy.
The cast includes Rosario Dawson, Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Eman Esfandi, Ray Stevenson, and Ivanna Sakhno.
