Tale of the Nine-Tailed tells the story of Lee Yeon, a gumiho who was once the guardian of the Baekdu Mountain. He falls in love with Ah-eum, a human who can see spirits, but their love ends tragically when the evil Imoogi kills her. Lee Yeon vows to find her reincarnation and protect her from Imoogi.
Everything changes when he meets Nam Ji-ah, a fearless producer who investigates supernatural phenomena. She looks exactly like Ah-eum and has a mysterious connection to Imoogi!
Lee Yeon and Nam Ji-ah embark on a dangerous journey to uncover the truth about their past and destiny.
Along the way, they encounter Lee Rang, Lee Yeon’s half-brother, who hates humans, but has a soft spot for Yoo-ri, a human who saved his life. They also meet Shin-joo, Lee Yeon’s loyal friend who runs a hotel for spirits.
