AGS has knocked us down with a feather! While the recent patch 1.1.1 polished New World by getting rid of bugs, it pulled a sneaky on us by adding a massive turkey boss.
Called Turkulon, this feathered avenger of death is here to haunt you for all the turkeys you slaughtered on Thanksgiving. Joke all you want, but he means business!
Turkulon is a Thanksgiving-themed level 66 boss that spawns across various locations in Aeternum and puts on a hard fight! When killed, it drops the Monstrous Turkey leg, which is a vital ingredient needed to make the special Roasted Monstrous Turkey Dinner.
Reportedly, players can find this oversized turkey in 20 locations across Aeternum after every 3 hours. Below is a breakdown of all the areas where Turkulon spawns:
1. Brightwood: 2
There are two spawn locations in Brightwood:
1) Center of Brightwood to the East of Wolfbough
2) Southeastern corner of Brightwood at Bronzegrove’s right.
2. Morningdale: 2
In Mourningdale, Turkulon can be found:
1) At the center, right above Stone Witness.
2) In Southern parts near the Flooded Plains.
3. Restless Shore: 2
In Restless Shore, one can expect Turkulon to appear:
1) To the northeast of Sunshade Plains
2) To the southeast of Sunshade Plains
4. Everfall: 2
In Everfall, Turkulon spawns:
1) Above Valle Tempus in the east
2) At Emberwood’s left
5. Monarch’s Bluff: 3
You can come across Turkulon at three places in Monarch’s Bluff.
1) In Monarch’s Bluff’s north below Corsair’s Rise
2) In the region’s east right to the northwest of Moonshade
3) By Riverseat in the southeast
6. Windsward: 3
1) The first spawn location of Turkulon is to the northwest of the region besides Stout March.
2) To the left of Grenville
3) East of the region next to Primrose
7. First Light: 3
There’s a possibility of encountering Turkulon in these three locations:
1) At the center of the region by Varangian
2) In the East to the left of Elder’s Bluff
3) North of the region to the right of Millberry Hills
8. Cutlass Keys: 3
There are three spawn locations in Brightwood:
1) In the north by Salty Marshes’ right.
2) Right next to Balmy Veldt in the region’s center
3) Southeast corner next to Rubble Shores.
9. Best Way of Beating Turkulon
First of all, beating Turkulon is no piece of cake. Fighting against this colossal turkey all by yourself is something I wouldn’t recommend, as a single blow by it can inflict devastating damage. Therefore, it’s better to join hands with experienced players for this battle!
In addition, try to have a healer on your side because you will need someone to bring life back to you when things get out of hand and believe me, when facing Turkulon, they can!
10. What do I get after beating Turkulon?
When you defeat Turkulon, it drops a Monstrous Turkey Leg. This item is a crucial ingredient that will help you cook a Roasted Monsterous Turkey Dinner.
It must be kept in mind that the Monstrous Turkey Leg isn’t a guaranteed loot, but the chances of you obtaining it are good, thanks to a high drop rate.
All in all, you’ll have to be really unlucky to fight a difficult battle against a murderous bird and go home empty-handed.
11. Crafting Roasted Monsterous Turkey Dinner
Now that Turkulon is slaughtered and you have the Monstrous Turkey Leg, you are fit to cook this legendary dish.
To craft a Roasted Monsterous Turkey Dinner, you will require a Tier 5 Kitchen and the following ingredients:
- 1x Monsterous Turkey Leg.
- 5x Potato.
- 3x Cooking Oil.
- 1x Parsley.
- 1x Sage.
- 1x Rosemary.
- 1x Thyne.
When consumed at the max character level, Roasted Monsterous Turkey Dinner provides 33 constitution, increases Luck by 5%, and grants health regeneration for 40 minutes. On top of this, you will receive 65 cooking XP by crafting it too.
In my opinion, what makes this meal stand out from the rest is that its significance depends on your level. This means the higher you are ranked, the better benefits you will get to reap.
So, while a level 1 player gets to enjoy 0.08% Luck and 0.55 Constitution, a level 60 enthusiast will have his Luck and Constitution uplifted by 5% and 33, respectively.
12. About New World
New World is an upcoming massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) by Amazon Games set to be released on August 31, 2021. The game was previously scheduled to release in May 2020 but was delayed to its current date.
Set in the mid-1600s, players colonize a fictional land known as Aeternum Island, modeled after North and South Americas in the Atlantic Ocean. The game will be using a buy-to-play business model, meaning there will be no monthly subscription fee.
