How to find the Cultist Treasure Map and solve it in Once Human? Easy Guide

Have you seen that creepy, run-down supermarket in Nalcott? You might have come across it and ventured in. Reaching this location is the prelude to the start of a side-quest called ‘Lost in Madness’.

The quest requires you to enter the supermarket and head inside to trigger a time ripple that gives you a map. The map is utterly useless for a normal player, but the idea is to put you on a seemingly wild goose chase for the treasure.

1. Where to find the Cultist Treasure Map in Once Human?

To find the Cultist Treasure Map-

1. Head to the Coastside Plaza area in Dayton Wetlands.
2. Look for and enter the BNMart.
3. Interact with the red candle placed at the leftmost corner of the BNMart, where you can hear whispering.
4. There will be a ripple in time-space, and a chest will appear.
5. Open the chest to obtain the Cultist Treasure Map.

If you want to start the side quest, Lost in Madness, you need to first head to the Coastside Plaza in Dayton Wetlands. Once you’re at Coastside Plaza, you can open your map and have a quick look.

There will be a blue exclamation mark in the northeastern part of the area. As you may very well know, this is an indication of a side quest in that area. If you are having trouble, you can refer to the map above. (It has the exact location)

Head over to the location shown on the map, and when you reach the area, look for the BNMart. Enter the BNMart, then head to the left corner.

You can see hanging symbols from the ceiling and as you approach the area, you will start to hear whispering. There’s a red candle at the location. Press F to illuminate it. This will begin the side quest ‘Lost in Madness’.

The whispering will stop when the candle is lit, and a treasure chest will appear next to the red candle. Open the crate to find the Cultist’s Treasure Map inside.

Open your Inventory and then head to the Special Tab and open the Map. You can see that it is an extremely difficult-to-navigate map, and X marks the spot with the treasure of the cultists.

2. Where is the Cultist’s Treasure in Once Human?

The Cultist’s Treasure is located in a camp in the Believer Colony of Chalk Peak. The map coordinates are 2301, -4918. It is located on the first floor of southern-most building in the small camp to the west of the main town.

The camp with the treasure is a small cluster of buildings with enemies that you can pick off with a sniper from a distance. There are Vulture Minions around this camp area. The recommended level is 32, and for good reason, so be careful when venturing out here.

You can see in the image above that there are two buildings here. The building you need to enter is the one on the left. Head upstairs into this building, and you will see a small room. There is a bonus Gear Crate for you, and next to the wooden table, there is another chest, the Cultist Treasure Chest.

Open the treasure chest to find the loot coveted by the Cultists.
