Assassin’s Creed games are known for their witty and thrilling missions. However, the in-game side quests are equally fun to do! Nehal’s Calling or The Calling is one such side quest which will leave you searching high and low for the “hidden place.” If you’re also wondering what the hidden place is, read on to find out!
The hidden place is located north of the ‘Aqarquf Dunes’ in the desert area or the Wilderness, according to the instructions in Nehal’s note. Look for the ‘Northern Oasis’ in the map during the “Nehal’s Calling quest to find the hidden place.
The Aqarquf Dunes are located southeast of Anbar in the Wilderness. If you have already unlocked the Northern Oasis Viewpoint, you can fast travel to it to save on some time.
1. How to get the Nehal’s Calling quest in AC Mirage?
After finishing the main mission titled My Old Home, Basim reunites with his longtime companion Nehal. Players will then be presented with your first optional side quest, The Calling. Nehal proceeds to hand over a note to Basim, reading which will kickstart the quest.
The note given by Nehal contains very vague instructions on how to move forward with the quest. Upon its completion, you will be rewarded with three unique items. Near the edge of the oasis, you will come across a letter by Al-Ghul which will mention “the chamber under the oasis.”
2. Finding the Hidden Place in ‘The Calling’ in AC MIRAGE?
Locate the Northern Oasis in the map, just north of the Aqarquf Dunes, and head over there.
Dive into the water and swim until you reach the bottom of the lake. You will spot a gaping hole in the seabed which will lead you to an underwater tunnel.
Head southeast across the tunnel until you reach a cave to come up for air.
Climb up the wall and continue along the cobweb-filled pathway to reach the Isu chamber.
The chamber has three altars and doors as well as three “treasures” or pieces of gear placed behind those doors. You will need to collect the unique collectibles known as Mysterious Shards to unlock these altars. The symbols on each of the altars specify the number of Mysterious Shards needed.
Once you embark on this quest, these special items can be easily located using the map and the navigation map once they are nearby. Keep in mind, you will have to take down special members of the Order to obtain Mysterious Shards from them.
3. Rewards for Completing the Nehal’s Calling Quest
In total, you will need 10 Mysterious Shards to unlock all three doors and retrieve the items behind them.
Here are the rewards you will receive once you’ve finished the task:
- Samsaama Dagger (2 Shards)
- Shamshir-e Zomorrodnegar Sword (3 Shards)
- Milad’s Outfit (5 Shards)
Once you have claimed all three pieces of gear from the Isu chamber, the quest will be completed.
4. About Assassin’s Creed Mirage
Assassin’s Creed Mirage is an upcoming game in development from Ubisoft. It is reported to feature Basim, previously seen in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, and the gameplay will focus more on stealth than open-world RPG elements. The game was released on October 5th, 2023.
