As of writing, season 3 has been confirmed by the producers of Tale of the Nine-Tailed. However, a concrete release date has not been declared and we have very few details.

The season finale takes us back to the past, where Yeon and his allies face a formidable enemy in Kato, a Japanese demon who wants to conquer Korea.
Yeon returns to Gyeongseong after receiving a mysterious letter and finds himself in a race against time to stop Kato from using a powerful stone to create a barrier.
Along the way, he reunites with his brother Rang, who discovers his true potential as a fox. They also encounter Hong-joo, a freedom fighter who helps them rescue the hostages and fight Kato.
The episode is full of action, emotion, and surprises, as Yeon and his friends risk their lives to protect their homeland and each other. The finale ends with Yeon and Rang returning to the present, where Yeon meets Ji-ah again under the rain.

A second season, titled Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938, premieres on May 6, 2023. with Lee Dong-Wook and Kim Bum reprising their roles and the female lead set to be portrayed by Kim So-yeon, as well as several new cast members like Ryu Kyung-soo
