Gold is a very common resource in most of the games. In the First Descendant, gold can be obtained for free without spending a penny. It accumulates over time in your inventory as you progress the game normally, but at some point, you might run out of them. 

Therefore, farming gold is crucial in the game, especially when unlocking new weapons and characters while also saving some time.

1. What is the Best Way to Farm Gold in The First Descendant?

Killing enemies and completing Special Operations are the best ways to farm gold in the First Descendant. Farming the Block Kuiper Mining Special Operation in the Sterile Land is highly recommended, as it can be completed easily in the early game.

2. Farming Special Operations 

Special Operations usually involve fighting off waves of enemies to defend certain constructs. By completing it, players can earn up to 36,000 gold. Also, keep in mind that enemies drop gold during the mission, so collecting that can get you up to a total of 100,000 gold easily.

Every two waves completed in this Special Operation have the potential to reward a substantial amount of Gold, reaching a maximum of 330,000 Gold for completing every wave. However, the likelihood of this happening is quite low.

There is a 50% probability that Wave Eight will yield 150,000 Gold, in addition to the Gold obtained from the other levels, making a total of nearly 700,000. But completing this wave is quite challenging. So, it is highly advisable to team up with friends to form a squad in order to speed up the farming.

Note: Farming gold can be maximized by playing in HARD MODE and equipping the External Components that boost Gold.

Below your Descendant’s reactor type, there is a list that includes slots for External Components. These parts are readily available throughout the game and can enhance your chances of collecting Gold and Kuiper Shards in The First Descendant. It is recommended to use the DEF Support Memory and Support Auxiliary Power.
