The Sorcerer class in Diablo 4 deals in inflicting elemental magic on multiple opponents causing damage over time. However, it can be a daunting task to figure out what Sorcerer build to use in the game.
The Burning Meteor Sorcerer Build in Diablo 4 is the ultimate Sorcerer build. This build provides great mobility as well as deals incredible damage to enemies. The skills players require for this build are Fire Bolt, Chain Lightning, Hydra, Inferno, Meteor and Teleport.
While the Sorcerer class may not be as durable as the Barbarian Class or as dexterous as the Rogue class, the ability to mix various elemental magic to deal an incredible amount of damage makes it one of the best classes in Diablo 4.
1. Six Skills to Unlock
Let’s take a look at the six skills you are required to unlock to make the Burning Meteor Sorcerer Build in Diablo 4:
- Fire Bolt: This skill throws a flaming bolt at enemies, causing burn damage as well as damage over time to enemies. Enhancing this skill unlocks the potential to pierce through burning enemies.
- Chain Lightning: These chains up a lightning spell between enemies up to six times, with a +3% crit chance when enhanced. Incredibly useful while dealing with multiple enemies, which is why this skill should be unlocked early.
- Hydra: As the name suggests, this skill brings forth a three-headed Hydra which deals burn damage by spitting fire. When this skill is enhanced, the Hydra gets an additional head if you’re above 80% health.
- Inferno: This skill spawns a fiery serpent that burns all enemies in an area for eight seconds and pulls enemies toward its center for more controlled damage.
- Meteor: With this skill, a meteor shower is launched on a wide area causing burn damage. When enhanced, there’s a 30% chance for more meteors to drop on the same burning area.
- Teleport: This skill allows you to turn into a lightning bolt and travel to a target location to deal damage. When this skill is enhanced, there’s a 0.5 second cooldown reduction for every enemy hit.
2. Passives Which Support Burn Damage
To get the most out of this build, first put a point in Inner Flames and then max it out. Crippling Flames immobilizes enemies through Pyromancy skills. Devouring Blaze increases critical damage against burning enemies which will come in handy.
Endless Pyre is another great Passive which increases the burn damage for enemies the longer they burn. Fiery Surge increases Mana regeneration (Mana is used for using skills during battles) per burning enemy killed.
3. Enchantments – Fireball & Meteor
For the first Enchantment slot, use Fireball. This Enchantment makes enemies explode for 50% of Fireball’s damage when they die. It is worth noting that the first Enchantment slot unlocks at level 15 in the game. For the second Enchantment, go for Meteor.
Enchantments can be changed to fit playstyles for different players. Not everyone has to go for these specific Enchantments. Experiment with different Enchantments, see what works best for you and use those to emerge victorious in battle.
4. Six Aspects to Unlock
Here are the six Aspects required to get the most out of this build:
- Aspect of Control: The most important Aspect required for this build. Deals 35% more damage to Immobilized enemies.
- Aspect of Inner Calm: Increases damage when stationary. Comes in handy during the Inferno skill where you become stationary for a while.
- Aspect of Three Curses: Increases the critical strike damage Meteor deals against enemies above 80% HP.
- Aspect of Singed Extremities: Automatically applies a Slow effect on enemies after the Crowd Control effect wears off.
- Aspect of Disobedience: This Aspect gives you increased Armor while you’re dealing damage to enemies.
- Everliving Aspect: Takes 25% less damage from enemies with Crowd Control effect applied, significantly reducing the incoming damage from ranged attacks.
That’s all you need to build the Burning Meteor Sorcerer Build in Diablo 4. Remember, you can always experiment on your builds with different Enchantments, Passives and Skills.
