10Avenue 5 (2020-2022)
The HBO sci-fi comedy series Avenue 5 is set on the titular interplanetary spaceship, which faces problems such as gravity loss and accidental death.
The crew must deal with these sudden disturbances with an eight-week cruise planned ahead. The series is known for its unique comedic approach to the space sci-fi genre.
9Futurama (1999-Present)
Futurama was initially conceived as a spin-off of The Simpsons, but it later developed a cult fanbase and following. It became successful on Adult Swim and Comedy Central.
The series had several crossover episodes with The Simpsons and is best known for its dark, satirical humor. If you are a Simpsons fan, I recommend you begin with Futurama.

I recommend the series for its unique way of storytelling and well-written characters. The show was canceled prematurely but is still worth a shot.

Stargate SG-1 is a military science fiction series based on MGM’s Stargate franchise. It follows the SG-1 team, an elite U.S. Air Force unit, as they explore the Stargate, an ancient alien portal, and face various enemies inspired by Earth mythologies.
The series combines strong characters and clear-cut villains. It was popular and profitable, leading to spin-offs, animations, and films.
5The Jetsons (1962-1963)
Now that we’re down to the top 5, The Jetsons is an animated series that perfectly blends sitcom elements with the sci-fi genre. The series made several predictions about scientific developments in the future, such as flat-screen TVs, video calls, and smart homes.
The Jetsons is also considered instrumental in popularizing the research about flying cars and space travel. Also, last but not least, it is really funny and super enjoyable.

The best space sci-fi series to watch is Doctor Who. It is the most successful sci-fi series of all time and has left a lasting impact on future sci-fi storytelling.
Doctor Who holds the Guinness World Record for being the longest-running sci-fi series of all time. It also has various sequels, spin-offs, and parodies.
The series is best known for its fantastic world-building and exploration of historical and educational elements. It’s a personal favorite, too, so I had to keep it at No 1.
