One Piece has been on air for 20 years now. In that time it has had a huge impact on pop culture. One Piece has been the theme for a lot of merchandise, games, spin-offs etc, and the latest addition is an advertisement for ramen.
Nissin, a famous ramen company, has been putting out advertisements with the theme: What if the Strawhats were High Schoolers? The company recently released its third advertisement of this category and looks like all the focus is on Vivi.
The advertisement shows the events of the Alabasta arc from a new perspective, mixed with many easter eggs regarding the story line. The video starts off with the crew on the roof of a building, with Vivi amongst them. The advertisement is narrated by Vivi herself, who is leaving high school and the events of the advertisement are her memory.
“So much has happened since I first met them all. These days, which will never come again, were my youth,” Vivi thinks to herself. “If we ever get to see each other again, will you call me your friend, one more time?”

That is when she receives a video showing the high school version of the iconic scene at the end of the Alabasta arc, proving to Vivi, that no matter how far she is from them, she will always be their nakama.
This 30-second long advertisement is packed with exciting takes on instances from the One Piece story line, and that makes it very interesting to watch. The video showcases easter eggs such as a model of Thousand Sunny Go, The Blackbeard crew bullying ace, Kaido and Shanks on the verge of a fight, etc.
