Assassin’s Creed Valhalla gives players the option to have an affair with other characters throughout the main story. For instance, in the main campaign, you have the choice to be in a romantic relationship with Sigurd’s wife, Randvi.
While completing the “Taken for Granted” quest, Randvi will give you the freedom to take their friendship further or continue as it was previously. However, there are consequences to this choice, and it’ll affect which ending you’ll get in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
If you choose to romance Randvi during the Taken for the Granted quest, you’ll receive a Sigurd Strike, taking you a step closer to the bad ending.
Even though you can get with Randvi and avoid the bad ending, you’ll have to be extremely cautious not to ruin your relationship with Sigurd throughout the main story.
In this article, I’ll go through everything you need to know about being in a relationship with Randvi and help decide whether you should romance her in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
Should you romance Randvi in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla?
Players should avoid the romance with Randvi and pick the option of ‘I care for you as a friend’ during the “Taken for Granted” quest in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. It’s because players have the option to be in a relationship with her later in the game without negatively affecting the ending.
The ‘Taken for Granted’ quest will see you get closer to Randvi while seeing the world outside the confines of Ravensthorpe. Eventually, she’ll admit her feelings towards Evior, and the game presents you with three different options:
- I feel the same way: You will hook up with Randvi, and Sigurd will find out about it later. As you can guess, he isn’t happy with the news and will leave a sour taste in his friendship with Evior. This choice will have a negative effect on the ending.
- Now is not the right time: You admit that you have feelings for Randvi, but they shouldn’t rush into anything. However, you’ll still get the option to hook up with her. Avoid it if you don’t want to get closer to the bad ending.
- I care for you as a friend: In this option, Evior will say that he cares for Randvi but won’t take it further, and they’ll remain friends.
The safest option is to avoid being in a relationship with Randvi and continue as friends. However, if you want to be in a relationship with her, all you need to do is wait. You can hook up with her safely later when Randvi and Sigurd break up inevitably.
How to romance Randvi without affecting the ending in AC Valhalla?
Players will have to wait until the wedding between Gunnar and Brigid during “The Forge and the Flame” quest in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. By this point, she will have divorced him no matter what, and you can be in a relationship with her without affecting the ending.
The only downside to using this method is that you have to wait until the game nearly ends to be in a relationship with Randvi. You’ll miss out on being on an adventurous date with her, but you’ll receive a good ending with her by your side.
However, if you’ve already chosen to be in a relationship with her during the “Taken for Granted” quest, you can still break up with Randvi to avoid a Sigurd strike.
How to break up with Randvi in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla?
You need to talk to Randvi by meeting her at the alliance table in Ravensthorpe and pick the “Break Up” option to end the relationship with her in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
After picking the option, she’ll ask again if you truly want to break up and picking “This is what I want” will end the relationship, and you won’t face any consequences. On the other hand, choosing “I take it back” will continue the relationship with Randvi and bring you closer to the bad ending.
