10. Tozawa Appears At Ishida’s Meeting With Chihara-Kai Leaders
Tozawa’s unexpected appearance at the emergency Chihara-Kai meeting organized by Ishida and other Yakuza leaders leaves Ishida stunned. The lingering tension between them remains as Ishida suppresses his anger towards Tozawa for attacking him during Tokyo Vice season one.
Tozawa proposes an aggressive approach against the police, urging collaboration with the Chihara-Kai. However, Ishida cautions Tozawa that his aggressive strategy may lead to detrimental consequences.
9. Eimi Discusses Who Could Have Started The Office Fire With Baku
Eimi continues investigating who could have started the fire in the Meicho office that destroyed the Yohino tape. Baku seems as clueless as her, claiming that he believes that a mole who works for Tozawa on the inside is improbable.
Eimi clearly starts to become suspicious of Baku, one of the few people who could have the proper access to set the fire. Eimi starts to catch on to Baku’s potentially corrupt ways.
8. Katagiri Warns Ishida About Future Police Raids On Chihara-Kai
At the beginning of the episode, Katagiri seriously talks with Ishida, cautioning him about the increased police raids targeting the Chihara-Kai. Ishida’s calm demeanor during the conversation suggests a history of mutual respect and understanding between the two men.
Despite Nagata’s persistent efforts, Katagiri emphasizes the ongoing raids and the legal consequences for captured Yakuzas under Tokyo’s jurisdiction. Ishida recognizes the severity of the situation and the potential threat it poses to the Chihara-Kai.
7. Ishida Sends Sato & Hayama To Obtain Guns From Former Yakuza Ota
Ishida’s previous stance against firearms as dishonorable changes due to increased police raids and Tozawa’s return.
To protect the clan, he instructs Hayama and Sato to procure weapons from Ota, a former Yakuza known for his loyalty to Chihara-Kai despite being dishonorably discharged.
6. Jake Spots Tozawa & Follows Him To His Highly Protected Location
Jake spotted Tozawa at a law firm and trailed him to a heavily guarded building in the city.
Determined to save Misaki from having to resume her role as Tozawa’s mistress, Jake grabbed his camera and attempted to enter the building to catch evidence of Tozawa’s illegal activities.
However, lacking a concrete plan, Jake failed to impersonate an English teacher. Recognizing the risk, he opted to wait outside the building despite the potential consequences.
5. Samantha Goes On A Getaway Trip With The Architect Client Masa
Following the events from episode 3, Samantha goes away with the architect client Masa to acquire information about a lucrative real estate project he is working on.
Sato sent Samantha on this mission because it would be of great value for Ishida and the Chihara-Kai. If Samantha fails, she will not be able to have sole ownership of her club, as per the deal she cut with Ishida. Samantha seems interested in Masa, but it could all be part of her act to do the Chihara-Kai’s bidding.
4. Jake Tells Katagiri That Tozawa Has Finally Returned To Tokyo
Jake discovers that Tozawa is back in Tokyo from Miskai, who was summoned to his home at the end of the previous episode.
Miskai tells Jake that she refuses to return to her terrifying life with Tozawa, inspiring Jake to track Tozawa’s location to get a scoop that could lead to his arrest.
Jake’s first call is to Katagiri, who is stunned and terrified by the news, especially considering the threat it places back on his family. Katagiri and Jake have been avoiding the Tozawa clan but are returning to their affairs.
3. Hayama & Ota Get Drunk & Fight To The Death, Leaving Ota Dead
Ota, Hayama, and Sato’s meetup extends into a long hangout at Ota’s place. Hayama and Ota drink heavily while Sato impatiently smokes cigarettes.
The hotheaded Hayama and Ota eventually get into a violent fight, resulting in Ota stabbing Hayama in the leg. Hayama retaliates by setting the house on fire before he and Sato leave, leaving Ota to face the consequences.
2. Masa Discovers That Samantha Went Through His Bag
During a seemingly romantic evening, Masa discovers that Samantha has looked through his personal belongings in his office.
This unexpected revelation immediately raises suspicions in Masa’s mind, as he wonders what she was searching for and why she felt compelled to go through his bag.
The episode concludes without a resolution, leaving viewers in suspense as they eagerly await future episodes of Tokyo Vice season 2 to uncover the consequences and fallout of Samantha’s actions.
1. Kaicho’s Men Betray Him & Join Tozawa, Throwing Him To His Death
Tozawa and his men betray the Kaicho of the Tozawa clan after Tozawa demands that he step down so that he can lead. The Kaicho refuses and orders his men to escort Tozawa off his premises when he realizes his men have deceived him.
Mutiny ensues, and Tozawa presumably takes complete control of the clan. At the end of Tokyo Vice season 2, episode 4, a body lands on the ground by Jake, who is stunned by the sudden death.
