Status Effects, more commonly referred to as Conditions, are special conditions that either benefit you or penalize you in Baldur’s Gate 3. Some inflicted conditions can be permanent while others can be used for a short amount of time until it’s recharged again. Arcane Synergy is one such Condition that specializes in the latter.
It might be confusing to know what this Condition does to enemies who are inflicted by it. Here’s what it does:
1. What does the Arcane Synergy do in Baldur’s Gate 3?
Arcane Synergy is a Status Effect that causes weapons to deal additional damage equal to the affected entity’s Spell Casting Ability Modifier in Baldur’s Gate 3. It lets players add a Spell Casting Modifier to their weapon attack, dealing more damage and applying Conditions to enemies.
Characters in the party who tend to inflict Conditions or Status Effects on enemies can benefit from having the Arcane Synergy.
2. How to get Arcane Synergy in Baldur’s Gate 3?
Players can get Arcane Synergy by wearing the Diadem of Arcane Synergy in Baldur’s Gate 3. It is a Helmet which is located at the Crèche Y’llek inside the Inquisitor’s Chamber.
Here’s the location on the map:
You can obtain it at the end of Act 1. Inside the Inquisitor’s Chamber, you’ll need to deal with the Githyanki Captain, Ch’r’ai W’wargaz, either with words or combat. The captain wants an Artefact from you for the Lich Queen, Vlaakith. It is up to you whether to give up the artefact or keep it for yourself.
I. Produce the Artefact
If you are willing to produce the artefact, here’s what happens:
- Lae’zel will approve of the decision.
- Shadowheart will disapprove because she sees it as a breach of trust.
- Astarion will dislike this decision as he sees it as giving away the power that’s rightfully yours.
However, it is to be noted that this Artefact will return to you no matter who you give it to. The only downside is that you may not get the Diadem of Arcane Synergy.
II. We Are Keeping the Artefact
If you choose the dialogue option to keep the artefact with you, your squad members including Lae’zel will approve of your decision and a fight will ensue with Ch’r’ai W’wargaz. Along with that, you’ll have to clear the entire room.
One of the Githyankis, Ardent Jhe’rezath, will drop at the Diadem of Arcane Synergy as loot. Defeat them to obtain this rare circlet which gives you the power to channel Arcane Synergy.
3. Diadem of Arcane Synergy Information
