The God of High School Webtoon was recently adapted into an anime, and people just can’t get enough of it.
As far as we’ve seen, the original story is wonderfully adapted with a few tweaks here and there. The fight scenes are also beautifully animated, and the power can be felt through the screen!
In episode 2 of God of High School, Mori interfered in Gang Manseok’s fight against Go Gamdo and was restrained by the Judges. In order to punish him, it was decided that he could only participate in further matches if he managed to defeat Judge Q.
However, just a few hours before the match, Mori bled and fainted after consuming some fruits. What could this mean for him? What exactly was it that he ate?
1. What did Mori Eat in Episode 3?
In episode 3 of God of High School, Mori ate some fruits given to him by the organizer of the tournament. However, they were no ordinary fruits but dangerous Divine Pellets.
2. What is a Divine Pellet?
A Divine Pellet is a special fruit that can enhance a person’s subconscious strength. However, more often than not, consuming it results in death. Only people who have trained themselves enough can survive after eating it.
3. Who gave Mori the Divine Pellets? Why?
I. In the Anime
After learning that Jin Mori was Jin Taejin’s grandson, Park Mujin wanted to test whether he was really capable. To do so, he broke out the fatal Divine Pellets that were kept locked up and gave them to Mori.
II. In the Webtoon
Mori was not given the Divine Pellet but instead ate it himself. Just before his fight with Judge Q, he was summoned by Bongchim Nah, one of The Six.
After reaching the room where he was imprisoned, out of hunger, Mori ate an unknown fruit, i.e., the Divine Pellet.
4. Who is Elder Bongchim that Judge P mentioned?
In episode 3 of GOH, Park Mujin gave some fruits to Mori Jin. However, according to judge P, those fruits were considered dangerous by Elder Bonchim.

Bongchim Nah is a member of ‘The Six’, who fought Jin Taejin 17 years ago. To heal from his injuries and grow stronger, he ordered Park Mujin to lock him up so that he could consume the Divine Pellet without dying from its effect.
He makes Mori his apprentice after the Metropolitan area matches and teaches him acupuncture.
5. What Effect Did the Divine Pellet Have on Mori?
I. In the Anime
After consuming the Divine Pellets, Mori fell down, clutching his chest. He was later seen bleeding from his mouth. However, he managed to get up in time for the match against judge Q.
Due to the Pellet’s effect, he was at his peak during the fight, and easily overpowered his opponent till he revealed his Charyeok.
II. In the Webtoon
After consuming a Divine Pellet, Mori felt as if his entire body was boiling. He grew much stronger and could focus better during his fight with Q. However, after the match ended, Mori fainted.
When he woke up, he was filled with energy, and Bongchim commented that Mori could not be satiated even with the powerful Divine Pellets. It was also revealed that anyone who ate a Divine Pellet would not be able to borrow God’s power.

The God of High School or GOH is a South Korean webtoon written by Yongje Park. God of HighSchool was first posted on Naver Webtoon on 8 April 2011; it was one of the first webtoons to receive an English translation at the launch of Line Webtoon app and website in July 2014.
