Thus, it can be said that Faye was the one who saved Kratos’ life to some extent and prevented Atreus from falling prey to Odin’s trickery.
Kratos later found out that the last shrine also had a backside to it representing the entire story of the Ragnarok game, revealing that the Jotunns always considered him to be their Hero, who would rid them of the evil Aesirs.
Looking at himself as being hailed as a hero and a ray of hope by the Jotunns, Kratos couldn’t help but get emotional because all his life he was only looked upon as a cruel killer or a monster.
This final scene concluded the main storyline of Ragnarok as well as the entire Norse saga of the God of War.
Will Ragnarok be the last God of War game?
Ragnarok is not the last God of War game. It is only the final game in the Norse saga of the series, as confirmed by the game director, Eric Williams, and producer, Cory Barlog.
The game director and producer have confirmed Ragnarok to be the end. However, they were careful enough to use the wordings “end of the Norse saga” instead of the entire God of War series.
Unfortunately, there are no official announcements on the future of the God of War series as of now, so we don’t know when and where the next game of the series will take place.
