An Easy Guide to Use the Ring Garland in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is an action-adventure game that follows the protagonist, Link, as he embarks on a quest to save Princess Zelda and the kingdom of Hyrule from an evil sorcerer.

In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, players can use various items, weapons, and tools to overcome obstacles and challenges in the game. One such item is the Ring Garland; a unique accessory players can obtain during their adventure.

The Ring Garland is primarily used to enhance Link’s abilities in Tears of Kingdom. Players can enhance sword attacks, speed, and defense by attaching the Ring Garland to Link’s weapons, shields, and armor.

You can buy the Ring Garland for five in-game rupees from Koko in Kakariko Village.

Easter Egg in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, players can discover a small easter egg where Deltan will talk about how the Ring Garland from the East making its way to the desert is a sign of luck and love for her.

After purchasing the Ring Garland from Koko in Kakariko Village, players must attach it to the shield and make their way to the Gerudo Shelter located in Gerudo Town in the evening.

Once players enter the Gerudo Shelter, they will find a room in the back left where Ashai teaches a class on Gerudo and Voe relationships. During the class, one of the Gerudo vai named Deltan will have a specific line of dialogue that only appears when the player has the Ring Garland attached to them.

Players must interact with Ashai until it’s Deltan’s turn. Once the interaction begins, Deltan will talk about how the Ring Garland ties people’s destinies together and how an item from the East making it to the desert is a sign that she can still find love.

‘Isn’t that a ring garland? They’re famous for binding the destinies of people!’

‘I mean…what are the odds that something sold in a village far, far away to the east would make it all the way here.’

‘What an amazing series of events! That can only mean that I haven’t been forsaken by luck and love!’

While this may not seem like much, a small easter egg adds charm to the game.

A sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (2017), Tears of the Kingdom retains many aspects of its predecessor, including the open-world environment of Hyrule, which has been expanded to allow for more vertical exploration. 

It is set to be released on 12th May, 2023.
