1. What arc is being followed in Kingdom Season 5?

Season 5 of the anime ‘Kingdom’ will adapt the Koku You Campaign Arc from the manga. The arc spans over 47 chapters, from chapter 438 to chapter 485.

This season is expected to have 12 episodes, and with the release of its 10th episode today, the series is once again nearing its end.

2. What will Happen in Season 5 Of Kingdom?

After ending Ai’s insurrection, Qin rallied enough troops to resume campaigns, and they set out once again to capture the Koku You Hills, a key location for Qin and Zhao.

With only Shin and the Hi Shin Unit for help, Qin dispatched General Kan Ki to lead the campaign under his command. The primary force was his personal Kan Ki Army.

Along with his own Kei Sha Army and General Ki Sui’s Ki Sui Army, Zhao dispatched Kei Sha, the man near the last throne of the Three Great Heavens.

Ryuu Tou and Ba Tei ambush the Hi Shin Unit on the first day, but it’s all an elaborate ruse to divert their focus from pushing forward and back towards retaking the hill. To counter the Zhao soldiers’ push on the central hilltop stronghold, General Kan Ki sent the Zenou clan into action.

While the Qin and Zhao armies are engaged in a protracted conflict, Kyou Kai’s scouting party has stumbled upon a Koku You village whose inhabitants are blissfully oblivious to the situation.

They severely hurt each other on the way back to Hi Shin Unit after Kyou Kai tried to kill Ryuu Tou. Returning to the village, Kyou Kai received treatment from the senior mayor thanks to her steed. The mayor taught Kyou Kai the narrative of the tragedy of Rigan the night she was treated.

After four days of fighting, Shin finally killed Kei Sha. With an order to retreat, General Kan Ki abandons the fight for control of Central Hill.

The reason behind this is that Ki Sui’s past and relationship with Rigan City were disclosed during the torture interrogation of the captured Rigan troops by the Saki Clan.

After that, Kan Ki dispatched his soldiers to scout out Koku You as Zhao’s forces were occupied with reinforcing the Central Hill. He destroyed entire towns and piled the dead innocent people into an arch to frighten Ki Sui.

Ki Sui left the hill and fled to rescue his house. After Kan Ki proved that Ki Sui’s army had chased him and been lured far enough, they dispersed to the four winds without engaging in combat. Because of this move by Ki Sui, Zhao lost the match.

Kingdom is a Japanese seinen manga series written and illustrated by Yasuhisa Hara.

The manga provides a fictionalised account of the Warring States period primarily through the experiences of the war orphan Xin and his comrades.

In the story, Xin fights to become the most significant general under the heavens, and in doing so, unifying China for the first time in history.
