The trailer for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever was recently revealed at the San Diego Comic-Con. It introduced the primary villain Namor and teased the next Black Panther. According to a recent rumor, another Black Panther project seems to be in the making.
Industry insider Jeff Grubb mentioned an upcoming Black Panther game in a tweet, reacting to the Wakanda Forever trailer.
There is currently no Black Panther video game being developed. Grubb is using this rumor to attract the masses for his show, Giant Bomb Game Mess.
The tweet can be interpreted as ambiguous; the insider could be referring to the Black Panther: War for Wakanda DLC, or he could be discussing the Black Panther game, which was eventually dropped.
Marvel has a long list of upcoming video game releases. The company has licensed several game development studios.
Insomniac’s Spider-Man Remastered for PC is releasing on August 12, 2022. Meanwhile, the game Wolverine, also by Insomniac, has been pushed for 2023. Midnight Suns, developed by 2K Games, will be launched on October 7, 2022. A secret Marvel adventure game by Skydance New Media is also being made.
The sequel Black Panther: Wakanda Forever releases on November 11, 2022. Hopefully, Marvel can give us some info about this “Black Panther game” then.
