The DC movie universe has seen some success recently with the release of Joker which grossed over a billion dollars. Many more movies are coming soon and the list includes James Gunn’s Suicide Squad reboot and Birds of Prey.
Warner Bros is also developing a spin-off featuring Amazons of Themyscira to boost the Wonder Woman franchise further.
Recently Warner Bros. released a fantastic first official trailer for Wonder Woman 1984 and fans went crazy over the trailer as soon as it was unveiled.
But one tidbit of information was overshadowed by the hype surrounding the sequel to the 2017 movie. It would appear that Warner Bros is developing a spin-off based on Amazons of Themyscira to boost the successful franchise further. Brazilian journalist M.P. Morales reported that Jenkins herself confirmed the existence of the movie, but noted that she wouldn’t help the project.

There are no further details about the spin-off but expect Warner Bros to explore characters around Diana Prince. Mythology could be an essential part of the upcoming films. Wonder Woman was the saviour of the sinking DC movie universe and prevented an untimely and premature end. It’s not surprising to see Warner Bros. investing in Wonder Woman further.
