Some people think that dancing is not manly. Dance Dance Danseur’s Junpei was much interested in ballet as a child, but he left the path due to similar prejudices.
An upcoming anime adaptation of the manga will bring to life the smooth-flowing movements involved in dancing. Dancing does not determine gender but rather a free heart.
No matter how much Junpei tries to ignore his instincts, dance will come back to his life once again.
Dance Dance Danseur manga will be getting an anime adaptation soon! George Asakura is best known for her manga, A Perfect Day for Love Letters, and she has also penned several other series, but this is the first time that her work is being animated.
Asakura is known for her edgy style as well as a witty cross between everyday life and heightened emotional elements.
Her detailed artwork is also praiseworthy. Dance Dance Danseur has dancing scenes created with great care, and every movement of the dancers seems elegant.
Dance Dance Danseur focuses on the story of Junpei, who always loved to dance and even wanted to learn ballet. However, once his father died, he pushed himself to adopt a more “manly” hobby and learned Jeet Kune Do.
However, his path will cross with ballet once again. Will he be able to suppress his desires this time?
Staff and broadcasting details will be revealed later. The manga also received the jury Selection Award at the 23rd Japan Media Arts Festival 2020.
There are several dance-centric anime out there, like Welcome to the Ballroom and Princess Tutu. The prime component in such a series is the dance-sequence animation. Will the to-be-revealed studio be able to do the manga justice?
