Watch: An Icy Boat Ramp and a Raft Come Together for a Hilarious Result in Valheim

When you have an extremely customisable game like Valheim on your hands, the possibilities are endless. And what you’re about to watch is considerable proof that no matter how bizarre something sounds, it will probably be fun as hell.

Redditor u/HotGUUUU recently posted a 52-second video of his Viking avatar indulging in some extreme sports which include a raft and the most ridiculous boat ramp you’ve ever seen. The ramp is built on top of a snow mountain so it’s obviously taken considerable time and effort.

Yes, we know what you’re thinking. History doesn’t say much about Vikings being into bobsledding. But clearly, this hasn’t stopped u/HotGUUUU from creating the greatest ice track Odin has ever seen. Real folk-tale stuff.

We see our redditor friend removing the pieces of wood that secure the boat in place as the boat careens down the ramp. It’s hilarious and yet ingenious how the ramp serves its purpose until it doesn’t; the frame rate begins to drop considerably as the player leaves a whole lot of debris in his wake turning everything into a pixel-y mess.

As the boat reaches the end of the ramp, both boat and player are flung into the air to spin around multiple times and hit seawater. And just when you think the wacky ride is over, the game bugs out as the boat just bounces off the water and somehow lands safely, stuck in a tree.

As you can see, Valheim can be pushed to great extents for one’s own amusement. With people doing things like building the Millenium Falcon as a viking warship, you know the game is a potential goldmine of cool ideas. If you’re a Valheim player, it might be a good idea to put on your thinking Viking helmet and see what you can come up with.
