Although Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 is hugely successful with over 25 million players, there have been numerous complaints from players due to bugs and glitches in the battle royale game. While some bugs are mildly annoying, others can be game-breaking, which makes it a top priority to eliminate all issues.
Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 developer Raven Software announced that they are removing two popular Field Upgrades, Battle Rage and Dead Silence, from the game until an in-game perks issue gets resolved.
The Tweet also included a link to Warzone 2’s Trello page for a status update on the issue. There’s no word on when players can expect the two Field Upgrades to return to the game.
Many had earlier expressed disappointment with how Dead Silence was implemented in the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 open beta test. Some users even said it should be permanently removed from the battle royale game.
Replies to the Tweet above were mostly negative. Of course, the removal of Battle Rage and Dead Silence was inconvenient, but players also posted about several other gameplay issues in hopes of getting the developers to notice.
A similar thing also happened with the original Call of Duty: Warzone when the High Alert perk caused trouble to players. However, some players are now claiming this is a sign that Warzone 2 was not ready for launch.
Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
