Warrior Season 3 Trailer Release: The Fight Goes on

Warrior, the martial arts drama based on Bruce Lee’s writings, has a very loyal fan base that has been waiting for the third season since time immemorial.

The wait is finally over, as Max has unveiled a thrilling trailer for the new season and a premiere date of June 29.

The trailer features the action and drama that Warrior is famous for and some new characters and challenges for the protagonists.

The show takes place during the violent Tong Wars of San Francisco’s Chinatown in the late 1800s. It follows Ah Sahm (Andrew Koji), a martial arts genius who becomes a hatchet man for one of the city’s most influential tongs (Chinese organized crime groups).

In season 2, Ah Sahm and his friends clashed with rival tongs, crooked politicians, and racist mobs, leading to a bloody race riot that rocked Chinatown.

In the wake of the turmoil, Ah Sahm’s sister Mai Ling (Dianne Doan), who heads a rival tong, used her government ties to gain power, while Ah Sahm and his mentor Young Jun (Jason Tobin) had to find new ways to stay alive. Watch the trailer here:

The 15-second trailer gives a glimpse of some events shaping the next chapter of Warrior.

Ah Sahm and Young Jun seem to have left Chinatown for a new territory, where they meet a Native American tribe and a group of outlaws.

Mai Ling faces resistance from within her own tong and from a new adversary played by Tom Weston-Jones.

Meanwhile, other characters such as Ah Toy (Olivia Cheng), Bill O’Hara (Kieran Bew), and Lee Yong (Joe Taslim) have to deal with the repercussions of their actions and decisions.

The show’s creators, Jonathan Tropper and Justin Lin, wanted to pay tribute to Bruce Lee’s legacy by showcasing his philosophy and style of martial arts in Warrior. The trailer shows that they have succeeded in creating a show that is not only exciting and enjoyable but also respectful and authentic to Lee’s vision.

Warrior Season 3 will debut with its first two episodes on June 29 on Max, with subsequent episodes releasing weekly.
