WandaVision Ending Will Be A Full Blown MCU Action Film

WandaVision is all set to debut on Disney+ Hotstar on January 15, 2021, with a two-episode premiere. The show is set after the events of Avengers: Endgame (2019) happen. From what the trailers told us, the show seems to be jumping from one timeline to the other in a sitcom-like setting.

Paul Bettany (playing Vision), in an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, confirmed that as the show reaches towards the end, the sitcom-theme series becomes a full-blown MCU action film. Even Teyonah Parris (grown-up Monica Rambeau) called WandaVision a “full-on action movie, mixed with sitcoms.”

When Jimmy Kimmel asked if jumping through the timelines in the sitcom-style setting would not be the whole storyline of the show, Bettany confirmed his theory.

“That’s 100 percent correct. We hurtle through the decades, and we hit different genres of sitcoms and then Vision begins to think that this is getting a little weird, you know. And in the end, you end up in full, MCU action movie.”

WandaVision will be the first title in the fourth phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe since The Falcon and the Winter Soldier couldn’t finish the production. Even without the trailers, the series had already become one of the most anticipated upcoming MCU titles because of all the secrets it is bound to reveal.

WandaVision takes inspiration from golden eras of TV, like The Brady Bunch, I Love Lucy and Bewitched in various promotional materials released by Marvel Studios. We will see the Scarlet Witch (Wanda Maximoff) and Vision jump through those sitcom timelines.

The show’s biggest mystery could be how Vision is alive in a setting after Endgame since he was supposed to have died in The Avengers: Infinity War (2018). Moreover, both Disney+ and Marvel have remained quiet about how the series will fit in with the rest of the entirety of MCU, making it all-the-more intriguing.

Now all that’s left is to wait for the series to come out to know what exactly happens. Let us find it all out together.
