No matter how intense the story is or how awesome the animations are, it’s the voice actors who bring life to our favorite anime characters.
And sad news for all Love Live! fans out there, the fan-favourite voice actor, Kanako Takatsuki, the voice behind Hanamaru Kunikida, will miss some of the upcoming events due to health issues.
On Tuesday, the official website for Love Live! idol franchise announced that the voice actor of Hanamaru Kunikida, Kanako Takatsuki, will not be appearing in the live-streamed “Love Live! Sunshine!! Aqours COUNTDOWN Love Live! WHITE ISLAND” event and the CDTV Live! Live! New Year’s Eve Special 2020 → 2021 television program due to her poor physical health caused by anxiety.
Although she is appearing in a pre-recorded portion during the “WHITE ISLAND” event, she won’t be performing there and neither on the CDTV special event on New Year’s Eve.
The franchise’s latest sequel was released on October 3, 2020, and once again, the slice of life anime managed to live up to fans’ expectations.
We know Kanako Takatsuki’s absence will be majorly missed in the event. However, the events are expected to make up for it, with other remarkable performances and special appearances.
We whole-heartedly pray for Kanako Takatsuki’s speedy recovery and hope to see her perform again in the future events of 2021.
