Kodansha Comics made some critical announcements on Friday at the New York Comic Con Metaverse panel.
Vertical imprint has licensed Pretty Boy Detective Club (Bishōnen Tanteidan) manga series by Suzuka Oda. The manga will be released in two-in-one omnibus editions starting from Summer 2021.
The company additionally revealed that the Bishōnen Series’ anime adaptation would premiere in 2021.
All the announcements were made through the official YouTube channel of New York Comic Con.
Kodansha Comics also announced that Vertical will be launching the final season field set of the Monogatari Series in Summer 2021.
The field set will feature the unique artwork by VOFAN, including the next seven novels- Tsukimonogatari (Possession Tale), Koyomimonogatari Part 1 (Calendar Tale), Koyomimonogatari Part 2, Owarimonogatari Part 1 (End Tale), Owarimonogatari Part 2, Owarimonogatari Part 3, Zoku Owarimonogatari (The End Tale)
The Pretty Boy Detective Club manga was initially launched in Kodansha’s ARIA magazine in April 2016. However, it moved to Shonen Magazine Edge in October 2018 after ARIA magazine stopped publication in April 2018.
About Pretty boy Detective Club
Pretty Boy Detective Club is a mystery novel series written by NisiOisin, eleven volumes of the novel were released under the Kodansha Taiga label. Its manga adaptation by Suzuka Oda was titled Bishōnen Tanteidan.
The Series centers on the unofficial, secretive, and completely mysterious Pretty Boy Detective Club, a nonprofit organization located at Yubiwa Private Academy, with the sole purpose of helping those in need.
However, the club will help only if the requests are considered “beautiful” by the team’s leader, Manabu Soutouin.
