Vermeil is going to be an almost invincible opponent considering the dark energy she is releasing. Alto will try to persuade her to calm down. Obsidian may get exposed in the next episode, or at least council members will grow suspicious of him.

Episode 5 Recap
Episode 5 of Vermeil in Gold is titled Rampage. It begins with a flashback in which Rex summoned his dinosaur as an egg, and Chris supported him in hatching it, presuming it was a dragon egg.
The focus then moves to Alto and Vermeil. Vermeil embarrasses Alto by displaying public affection and asks Alto to buy her a snack.
Alto agreed to buy her snacks, and they were about to go when Rex’s brother asked them to rescue his brother. Rex continues to beat Chris; he is unaffected by her fire spells, and his body begins to mutate.
As his brother, Alto, and Vermeil arrives, Rex declares his desire for vengeance on Alto, but Elena, the student council president, enters and knocks Rex and his dinosaur out cold with her sword, eliminating his diverse growths.
Chris maintains a watchful eye on Rex in the hospital.
Vermeil was concerned about the power she sensed from Rex. As an exam is coming up, Vermeil walks away, saying she has to take a rest. Lilia is eager to study alone with Alto.
When Vermeil and Obsidian unexpectedly meet, she tells him that she knows he is the one who is hurting the students and urges him to stop. She informs him that such a power is too great for a human to handle.
Obsidian grew fascinated by Vermeil’s power, so he injected her with something that caused her pain and leads her to discharge dark energy.
