A deleted scene from Venom: Let There Be Carnage teases how the red symbiote wanted to create a hybrid race of his own. This ties into the comic book story of Knull, the creator of all symbiotes and a few MCU connections.
In the clip, Kasady and Shriek are striking off names on their kill-list when Carnage tries to convince them to make an indelible mark on the world.
How? By joining his plan of creating a hybrid race of symbiotes and humans, and killing off any humans without the symbiote blood.
Going from Shriek’s expression, she finds making babies with Carnage quite icky (and I have to agree). You can watch the deleted scene here:
Now Kasady’s dialogue seems to have a little Easter egg in it too, when he talks about how Carnage is, in fact, Venom’s offspring. This inevitably questions Venom’s own lineage.
As Venom tries to explain to Brock in the post-credits scene, all symbiotes are linked together in a hivemind containing information spanning millions of lightyears.
However, the multiverse opening up stops Venom from revealing that all the symbiotes are connected/controlled by one primal symbiote.
This primal symbiote was created by Knull, a deity who existed before the big bang and who very much loved his world of darkness.
So much so, that when the Celestials came about and began populating the universe, Knull made it his life mission to take them down.
Carnage’s larger plan, as we have seen with Riot in the 2018 movie too, lines up with Knull’s — destroying any lifeforms that are not symbiote.
Venom fans have been waiting to see when Knull will be introduced. Going from the deleted scene, it is obvious that Carnage had a Knull subplot that they decided to scrap.
Venom’s ties with the MCU are running even deeper: Not only does Venom remember some version of the Spider-Man, he is also rumored to be part of future Spidey projects, if not No Way Home.
I can’t help but think that Knull’s connections with the Celestials will also call for a similar crossover!

Venom: Let There Be Carnage is an upcoming American superhero film directed by Andy Serkis. A sequel to 2018’s Venom, it is based on the Marvel Character of the same name. Tom Hardy will be reprising his role as journalist Eddie Brock/ Venom and newcomer Woody Harrelson will play psychotic serial killer Cletus Kasady/ Carnage, in the second installment. Further cast includes Michelle Williams, Reid Scott, and Naomie Harris.
Venom ended with the symbiote destroying Carlton Drake, the symbiote Riot, and the Life Foundation’s spaceship. Thus the world was saved. In a mid-credits scene, Brock was invited to interview incarcerated serial killer Cletus Kasady, who promised “carnage” when he escaped. This was Woody Harrelson’s Carnage reference.
Now, the trailer for Venom: Let There Be Carnage teased the appearance of another symbiote Toxin through his host, Patrick Mulligan.
