Episode 7 mainly revolved around how Jeanne and Vanitas gradually got along with each other. No matter how many times Jeanne denies it, she has got a liking for Vanitas and his sweet scent of blood.
Meanwhile, Noe understood the meaning of love and has started seeing Domi more as his romantic partner than just a childhood friend. They roamed around in Altas Paris like any other newly married couple.
In the final seconds, we saw Lord Ruthven keeping a watch on them from his window. What was his intention behind bringing Noe and Vanitas in? We bring you the latest episode updates of this anime.
Episode 8 Preview & Speculation
Episode 8 is titled “Where Death Slumbers,” which hints that the upcoming episode will not be about lovey-dovey romance anymore, and rather, things are going to get pretty serious.
We may get to know Lord Ruthven’s intention behind letting Vanitas and Noe stay in his castle. Is it just an act of generosity? Or does he want to have a closer look at their actions?
On the other hand, the Charlatan mystery is still unsettled. The creature escaped from the window, vowing that he will return for Noe. Since the episode title is pretty intense, there’s a slim possibility that it will show us the return of Charlatan.

Episode 7 Recap
In Episode 7, Luca invites Vanitas and Noe to her place to thank them for saving everyone in the banquet from the blue moon curse. She treats them with delicious Tarte Tatin, that has always been Noe’s favorite.
However, it seems Luca is still pretty angry with Vanitas for forcibly kissing Jeanne right before her eyes. Vanitas adds fuel to the fire with his corny lines for Jeanne and by revealing that Jeanne bit him and left her mark on his neck.
Just when Luca was about to lose her mind, Vanitas calms her down by assuring that Jeanne was out of control when the incident happened. Well, both of them know that it’s a lie, so Jeanne just leaves the room, dragging Vanitas along with her.
Later, in a desolate lane, Jeanne admits that she is a curse-bearer too, and thanks to her medicines, that stops her from going berserk. She urges Vanitas to keep this a secret from everyone.
Vanitas immediately agrees under the condition that Jeanne mustn’t suck anyone’s blood, other than Vanitas’. He shamelessly says that he likes the feeling of numbness when Jeanne sucks his blood as if they are meant for each other.
Meanwhile, Noe feels a little uneasy seeing Vanitas and Jeanne growing close to each other. He feels an emptiness in his heart that can only be filled with love, but he is really unsure of what that is.
Domi notices Noe’s anxiety and offers him to suck her blood as if she already knew that Noe could never reject such an opportunity. Thus, both of them ended up enjoying each other’s blood.
The final seconds of the episode reveals that Lord Ruthven is monitoring everyone closely from his window. Is he really an ally to Vanitas, as he claims? We have to wait for the next episode to find that out.
