Episode 12 Preview & Speculation
Episode 12 is titled “Point of Departure.” Here, Ruthven will kidnap Noe to some secret place, leaving behind no clue for Vanitas. Yet, I do believe that Vanitas already was already over Ruthven from the day they met at the banquet.
Meanwhile, Jeanne’s condition will be getting worse with time, and she is gradually losing her sanity. Vanitas will definitely try his best to save her, but he needs Jeanne to reveal everything

Episode 11 Recap
Episode 11 shocks us with Jeanne asking Vanitas out for a romantic date and confessing her feelings towards him. This is undoubtedly the last thing we expected to happen, but seeing how adorable Jeanne looks while blushing, most of us (at least I) stopped reasoning about the episode.
Later a flashback scene cleared all our confusion, where Dominique proposed this insane idea to help Jeanne get rid of Vanitas. She knows that Vanitas hates girls who love him, so she asks Jeanne to go out on a romantic date and make him hate her.
Well, Dominique’s plan turns out a complete failure since the date goes pretty smoothly, and Jeanne starts doubting if she really loves Vanitas.
As I said in the very beginning, there were moments where I felt jealous of Vanitas for roaming around Paris with Jeanne acting so cutely.
However, this picture-perfect date ended with Jeanne losing control on the sight of blood, and Vanitas had to drag her away from the public.
Later, she admits that her condition is getting worse quite sharply, and it’s just a matter of time before she loses her sanity.
She claims that she wants to keep her promise of not devouring the blood of anyone other than that of Vanitas. The very next moment, she starts drinking Vanitas’ blood recklessly, and I am sure Vanitas enjoyed that everlasting moment of painful pleasure.
Meanwhile, Noe wakes up from his sleep to get bitten by a vampire right after his breakfast. Unlike Vanitas, it wasn’t the girl he loves, but rather, it was Lord Ruthven attempting to kill him before he became a threat to his evil plans.

The Case Study of Vanitas manga is created by Jun Mochizuka. It started serialization in the Monthly Gangan Joker magazine in December 2015. It is receiving an anime adaptation in July 2021.
Noe, a young vampire, is in search of a cursed book called The Book of Vanitas. However, on his flight to Paris, he comes face to face with Vanitas and realizes that he is a self-proclaimed vampire doctor.
Somehow Noe ends up as Vanitas’ partner to heal vampires who are going feral under an evil influence.
