Valheim Plus Mod Adds a Ton of New Features!

While Valheim’s developer Iron Gate Studio has stated in their FAQ that they won’t be offering “official support” for mods, modders have never been one to play by the rules.

There are already several mods available for the game, and the biggest one seems to be Valheim Plus. This mod makes a lot of changes to the base game, affecting everything from item weight values to the speed and output of kilns, furnaces and fermenters. Players can also increase item stack sizes, carry ores through portals and also speed up production rates of their bees.

Some of the most notable changes the mod brings to the game are advanced building and editing mode. This allows you to place items and building pieces with almost surgical precision, altering the height, rotation, and even the angle of the items. The advanced editing mode makes repositioning placed items much easier. Instead of having to destroy the item, players can now simply click on it and edit its placement.

Another impressive feature of this map is the shared map system. With this feature, co-op players can collectively benefit from individual findings and progress made on their maps. This will, however, require you to be online to see the progress reflected on each other’s maps. This will make coordinating easier as you’ll know which areas you’ve been to and which ones still need to be explored.

It should be noted that Valheim has been out only for a couple of weeks, has no official mod support and is still in Early Access. There’s no saying how mods will react with the game as it receives constant updates, fixes and changes. So, don’t be surprised if the mod doesn’t work after a while, but we’re sure the modding community will get it back on track without much problem either.
