Valheim is easily one of the most popular games right now. So, it’s no surprise that various modders have released new HD Texture Packs for the game to make it more pleasing to the eye.
The first mod comes from Badger and contains 2K textures and requires BepinEx and Custom Textures in order to utilize these files. It overhauls the following textures:
- Work bench
- Wood pile, Wood Chest, Wood Table
- Straw Roof (Corner and straight)
- Anything that uses planks, such as wood walls, gates etc.
- Pine Tree Log
- Forge
- Wood Furniture
- Adze
The second mod pack comes from Louis overhauls over 20 textures.
The third pack from PoisonIvy improves 8 textures.
These packs feature all different textures, so there shouldn’t be any clashes. Their creators also plan to add more textures in the future.
Finally, zkrieg released an AI-enhanced HD texture Pack which improves the quality of a lot of numerous vanilla textures through Topaz Gigapixel AI. It appears to have a lot of improved textures. Unfortunately, the modder does not plan to add new ones or release any fixes/updates to the existing ones. Some users have also reported facing issues with some of the textures.
With Valheim being as popular as it is, we can expect to see many more such HD mods release in the future. And this is without mod support. The market for mods is only going to grow if and when the devs also allow for mods.
