Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out! Is a Summer 2020 anime that concluded its run in September 2020. Season 2 of Uzaki-chan was announced soon after the end of the first season. Fans await Uzaki and her cheerful irritability combined with Sakurai’s passive and quiet demeanor.
Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out! revolves around the college life of Hana Uzaki, a bubbly girl, full of energy.
During her first year, she reunites with Shinichi Sakurai, her upperclassman in high school. Unlike his high school days where Sakurai was a socially active student, he now prefers to spend his free time alone, in peace.
This doesn’t sit well with Uzaki and hence begins a hilarious chain of events in Sakurai’s life! Uzaki spends every moment of her leisure time tagging along with her senpai, trying to make him have fun. As their time together increases, their relationship deepens, leading to the two enjoying their college days.
1. Release Date
Season 2 of Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out! has officially been announced. However, the series is yet to receive a release date. We can expect Season 2 to be out by Fall 2021 or Winter 2022.
The announcement was made on the official website of the Uzaki-chan anime on September 25, 2020. Season 2 will be directed by Kazuya Miura with the same voice cast as Season 1.
2. Visuals & Trailers
Two visuals have been released as a promotion for Season 2.
The visuals show Uzaki and Sakurai being all excited for the new season.
A trailer announcing Season 2 has also been released. Uzaki commenting and complaining about her bust size can be seen with multiple flashbacks from Season 1. The trailer ends with Uzaki announcing that she’s going to be back with her senpai.
In Season 2 we could finally see Sakurai confess to Uzaki. A new character from Uzaki’s family might also be introduced to spice up the anime a bit.

It has been serialized through Niconico Seiga’s Dra Dra Sharp website since December 2017 and collected in five tankōbon volumes by Fujimi Shobo as of July 2020.
In North America, the manga is licensed by Seven Seas Entertainment. An anime television series adaptation by ENGI premiered on July 10, 2020.
