Due to Ami, Sakaki, and Yanagi’s efforts, Hana and Shinichi finally reconcile in episode 12 of Uzaki-chan season two, titled “I Also Want to Play on Christmas Eve!”

Shinichi gets invited to Hana’s house to spend Christmas Eve and gets the biggest shock when he meets her dad, who turns out to Fuji-san from his gym. Hana’s dad is infuriated, but he declares a cease-fire with Shinichi.

A very drunken Shinichi also reveals his real feelings of gratefulness to Hana and her family. Hearing her words, Fujio realizes Shinichi, indeed, loves Hana.

Episode 13 Speculation

The next episode is titled “I Also Want to Hang Out Next Year!” Fujio is now aware of Shinichi’s and Hana’s relationship. Seeing his sincerity, he may try to come to terms with Shinichi and get over his anger. However, it won’t be easy for him, and it will definitely take time.

Because of how drunk both of them are, something embarrassing will probably happen between Shinichi and Hana. Although now that Shinichi knows about how Hana feels towards him because of his talk with Fujio in the gym, it’s time for him to think about their relationship seriously.

Recap of Episode 12:

Hana tells Sakaki and Ami about her dispute with Shinichi and how he got angry with her. Ami and Sakaki get angry at her for being stupid. Hana tells them that she will just wait till Shinichi cools down, but Ami reminds her that Christmas Eve is just around the corner.

Frustrated, Sakaki threatens her that he will take Shinichi to a drinking party they were invited to by some girls in their class and let Shinichi get taken by someone.

Hana tells about her predicament at her house. Yanagi tells her if she doesn’t do something she will have a lonely Christmas like their brother, Kiri. Hana sighs and leaves the room. Yanagi decides to make things right herself.

Yanagi arrives at Asia Café the next day during Hana’s and Shinichi’s shifts to put his plan in motion. She goes to Shinichi and asks him to spend Christmas with her instead, which shocks everyone.

Ami realizes she is doing so to stir up Hana since she never had a rival going after Shinichi. Yanagi asks Shinichi if she can hang out at his place since her sister is banned.

Her tactics seem to work since Hana gets worked up and invites Shinichi to celebrate Christmas Eve at her place. Shinichi agreed, as he was going to lift her ban anyway. Yanagi tries to warn her about their dad, and Hana realizes her own recklessness. However, she tells Yanagi she will do something about it.

Christmas Eve arrives, and as Hana and Shinichi are heading off to her place, she thinks about what to do with her dad. She convinces herself that he will come to like Shinichi since he is so earnest and her dad is a good judge of character.

They reach her home, and her dad comes out to wish them Christmas. However, both Shinichi and Hana’s dad get the biggest shock as Shinichi realizes that Hana’s dad is Fuji-san from his gym. Hana’s dad gets incredibly angry. It did not go well as Hana had hoped.

Everyone settles to have dinner, but Shinichi’s dad still has a scary expression on his face. Shinichi meekly tells him he just assumed Fuji was his last name and had no idea he was Hana’s dad. As everyone tries to calm him down, Fujio remembers his talk with Shinichi in the gym when he blabbed about her daughter and realizes he cannot have anyone else find out about that.

He takes Shinichi to a corner and reminds him of their chat. As Shinichi remembers, he tries to leave, but Fujio stops him. He pleads to him to forget about it and just enjoy the night as Hana puts a lot of effort into her preparations. Shinichi agrees, and Fujio thanks him. However, he menacingly tells him they will have more opportunities to talk about Hana later.

Shinichi tries to enjoy the night with Hana as Fujio holds back his anger. However, Shinichi soon throws in the towel and tells Fujio he can’t hold onto such a big secret and wish to forget about it.

Fujio offers to make him forget by using violence. Shinichi nervously tells him it’s better to get him drunk instead as that will make him hopefully forget and give him a reason to go home early. Fujio agrees.

Hana teases a now very drunk Shinichi, and her father realizes she is pretty drunk herself. Hana tells them he is more earnest when he is drunk.

As Hana’s mother thanks him for looking out for Hana, he tells them he is grateful to Hana, even if she is annoying sometimes. Hana gets smug after hearing her praise, and Fujio prays Shinichi forgets about this like he is supposed to.

Shinichi reveals that he is so off-put by things like romance because his parents were always too affectionate in front of him. He was so repelled by his dad that he turned out to be a little bad with women. However, his dad’s words earlier have made him give proper consideration to Hana.

Fujio exasperatingly realizes that Shinichi loves Hana.
