Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out is the anime adaptation of the phrase “Notice Me Senpai.” However, the kouhai here is a boisterous young girl and the senpai just wants to be left in peace.
It is a light piece of work targeted to induce laughter from the audience.
The anime has some cliched tactics that have been portrayed in an obviously humorous way. How will the relationship between these two poles-apart characters turn out?
The official website of Funimation has just announced that the Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out anime will get an English Dub. The dubbed version of the anime will be streamed from 11th September on Funimation.
In the English dubbed version, Uzaki will be voiced by Monica Rial.
Monica has voiced Shiro in Deadman Wonderland and Nero in Black Clover anime. Ricco Fajardo is the voice of Sakurai. He has previously voiced Kiroranke in Golden Kamuy.
Episode 1 Synopsis
In his college junior year, Shinichi Sakurai is reunited with his kouhai (junior), Uzaki Hana.
Uzaki has previously observed Shinichi going through his school life like a loner and wants to make his life more enjoyable.
They both go to hang out together, and Uzaki bothers Shinichi through the entire day.
Shinichi accidentally grabs Uzaki’s chest while playing a VR game. After that, Uzaki voraciously eats food at a restaurant while Shinichi has to keep ordering more.
Quick Review
The anime aims to be unique but miserably fails at being so. The characters have nothing refreshing about them.
Uzaki’s assets are unnecessarily paid attention to throughout the anime. Apart from that, the way Uzaki pursues Shinichi is quite annoying.
A proper background of Shinichi and Uzaki isn’t shown. Although the anime has its cute moments, the story is too simple. The animation itself is neither bad nor good.
