Urusei Yatsura Ep 8 Release Date, Speculations, Watch Online

Ataru finds a new blue friend in episode 7 of Urusei Yatsura, titled “Home is Where You Find it.”

It was a cute and funny episode. A blue creature shows up inside Mendo’s pool, and the whole episode is about him finding a house for himself. It was a rather good time pass episode.

We find out that Sakura is already engaged to a guy named Tsubame. Ataru and the others really wanted a kiss to happen between them, but it, unfortunately, didn’t happen, thanks to the little blue guy. By the end, the blue guy finally found a house.

Episode 8 Speculations

We might have a farewell party in episode 8 of Urusei Yatsura, titled “Transfer Student Close Call… Farewell Party Close Call….”

I don’t really know whose farewell party it will be, as we didn’t get any hint or preview about what will happen in the next episode. We might get to see a new character getting introduced.

It might be an episodic episode like the previous one. I hope we get a little character development and something important happens.

Episode 7 Recap

A strange-looking creature feels lonely inside water but can’t tolerate heat, so it has to stay inside. Ataru, Mendo, Lum, and Shinobu have come to the pool. Sakura has also come there.

Ataru gets excited seeing Sakura in a swimsuit, so he attacks her, but she punches him into the water. After not coming out of the water for some time, Lum jumps in to find the strange-looking creature holding Ataru back.

The creature is happy to have a visitor. Lum sends Ataru to the top. Lum sits back as its guest. Ataru tells everyone about the creature, so they go down to check.

The creature goes up to get some snacks and causes panic among people. He gets happy to see new guests waiting for him. When Ataru tries to run away, it holds Ataru’s leg and comes up with him causing everyone to run away.

Mendo tells the creature that it can’t live in his hotel’s pool, so he leaves the place. When Ataru returns home, he finds the creature in his bath tub. After a month, Ataru and Lum are ready to head out for the beach when his mother stops him and hands him the creature.

She tells him to take it somewhere else as it has been staying there for too long. Ataru takes him to the beach and goes with him to find a place where he can live.

Sakura is out with her fiance. After eating a whole lot of food, they head out to swim. Ataru leaves the creature near the sea and heads back. The little blue guy is lonely again when he finds Sakura with her fiance.

Ataru and the others start spying on them. Sakura and Tsubame (her fiance) are about to kiss, but the little blue guy ruins the plan. They all head back and have their final lunch with the small creature.

Everyone is feeling sad about leaving the blue creature behind. A boy has come to the beach with his pet to dump him as his mother is not allowing him to keep the pet.

Ataru keeps the blue guy in a box so that anyone can pick it up. The boy finds it hard to say goodbye to his pet, Pochi and rushes back to pick it up. However, it picks up the wrong box.

It turns out that Pochi is actually Cherry. Later, Ataru gets a letter written by the blue creature who is now Pochi, in which he tells Ataru about his new happy life.

About Urusei Yatsura

Urusei Yatsura is a manga series by Rumiko Takahashi. It has a total of 374 chapters and was published from 1978 to 1987. Its anime adaptation received 195 episodes from 1981 to 1986. A new anime adaptation with selected stories began airing in October 2022.

In the series, a humanoid alien race invades the Earth but agrees that if the protagonist wins in a game of tag, they will leave it unharmed. Ataru wins against the alien girl, Lum.

Lum misunderstands and thinks Ataru is proposing marriage, and starts living with him and joins his high school. Ataru is a trouble magnet and gets stuck in weird situations pretty often.
