The Idea tree is a unique mechanic introduced by Frostpunk 2, a city-building game. Idea Tree can be unlocked in Chapter 1 by placing a Research Institute in an Expanded Housing District’s empty Building slot in Frostpunk 2.

It is the first building available to the player. After its construction, they can start researching ideas. Unfortunately, researching ideas is a time-consuming process. To reduce the time taken, you should establish multiple Research institutes.

• Click on Research.

Remember that every idea has different resource requirements, so ensure that you have collected all the required material for the desired solution.

Additionally, different Factions in your society desire different solutions, however, there are some solutions every faction agrees on. Make sure you research such solutions whenever you come across them.
