The ‘unlucky’ Fuuko, whose touch can cause people to die meets Andy, an undead who wants to die. ‘Undead Unluck’ brings both fighting people having the same abilities as Andy with the organization called The Union by their side.
TMS announced the anime adaptation last year, with the first teaser released in December. It blew our minds with how Andy was regenerating himself and his superhuman strength.
On Thursday, TMS Entertainment announced that the anime adaptation of ‘Undead Unluck’ will stream exclusively on Hulu. The anime will make its television debut in October this year. The anime will also premiere at Hulu’s booth at Anime Expo 2023 on July 2.
‘Undead Unluck’ will also premiere at the convention at the Anime Expo. The exclusive panel for the anime will have Natsuki Hanae (CV: Shen), Moe Kahara (CV: Fuuko Izumo), and manga editors Takumi Hashimoto and Ryōta Hasegawa as guests.
TMS and Bang Zoom! Studios are also holding auditions at the convention for a role in the English dub of the anime on Tuesday i.e. July 4.

‘Undead Unluck’ gives off a ‘Chainsaw Man’ impression as the main characters want something for themselves and team up with the Union. However, it is not as dark and haunting and replaces it with comic elements a lot more.
About Undead Unluck
Undead Unluck is a manga series written and illustrated by Yoshifumi Tozuka. It has been serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump since January 2020. As of May 2023, it is collected into 16 volumes.
The story follows Fuuko Izumo who has the ability to bring bad luck to anyone she touches. Tormented by her ability, she decides to commit suicide but fate intervenes when she meets Andy, an undead person who wishes for the ‘best death.’ The pair joins the mysterious organization, Union, which consists of people like Fuuko and Andy, and go on missions given by a book called ‘Apocalypse.’
