Episode 20 of Undead Unluck is titled “Anno Un.” In this episode, Andy and Fuuko meet with the person who could change the ending of the world.

Anno has been waiting for this moment and already knows everything that will happen. Andy and Fuuko stay wary of Anno since no one knows her true motives or identity. However, Andy and Fuuko are powerless to do anything throughout their meeting. Anno controls the whole situation and also shows incredibly confusing abilities.

2. Episode 21 Speculation

Anno is an essential part of the story due to her ability to know the future. Juiz is forced to believe in Anno if she wants to change the ending. Moreover, Anno also holds the key to defeating God and the secrets of Victor hidden within Andy’s blocked memories.

The next episode will likely be focused on the battle with UMA Autumn since Anno wants it destroyed before revealing her secrets. Anno used Autumn’s claw to turn Andy into a pile of books, which may show some weakness of the UMA. After beating UMA Autumn, Anno will reveal the future to the Union.

In the future that Anno sees, Fuuko dies at the hands of Under. However, Andy will do everything in his power to prevent that. If Anno’s future is changeable, the Union may even be able to make their dream of killing God a reality.

3. Recap of Episode 20

Anno thinks about the future of Fuuko and Andy, one where they fight with Under and lose Fuuko in the process. Anno invites Andy and Fuuko to meet her at the park in five hours. Andy deduces that Anno already knows everything about both them and the Union. Moreover, no one knows anything about Anno besides her popularity as a mangaka.

Andy and Fuuko wait at the park bench while eating some Canadian snacks. Anno appears behind the two and sneaks a peek at Fuuko’s manuscript. Anno asks what they want to know but answers the question herself. A group of Spider UMAs crawls out of the forest and Anno orders them to kill UMA Autumn.

Anno kills all the Spider UMAs and says she needs time to read the manuscript correctly. Andy puts a sword on Anno’s neck and asks why she hides the future. However, Anno teleports behind Andy and talks to Fuuko about the manuscript instead. Fuuko runs to fight UMA Autumn, and Anno tries to stop her, saying she needs to train more.

Fuuko is worried about every person who could become a victim of Autumn. Andy runs behind Fuuko with Anno under his arm. The three reach UMA Autumn, a massive spider-like creature that turns people into books and eats them. UMA Autumn asks for a story no one knows and sends spiders to attack Andy.

None of Andy’s attacks pierce the armor of Autumn while it barrages them with attacks. As spiders surround the two, Anno draws a muscular arm and attaches it to herself. Using this new arm, Anno fires Volcano Bullet at Autumn and also creates a fighter jet to catch Andy and Fuuko.

Anno flies away with Andy and Fuuko, laughing because she no longer has a left hand. Anno shows Andy and Fuuko her house and talks directly with Juiz using the Emblem. Andy feels annoyed about the power gap between him and Victor and knows Anno can help him find it.

Anno cuts Andy and makes him into a massive pile of books, shooting straight into outer space. Fuuko watches in shock, wondering if Andy has died or not.

Undead Unluck is a manga series written and illustrated by Yoshifumi Tozuka. It has been serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump since January 2020. As of May 2023, it is collected into 16 volumes.

The story follows Fuuko Izumo who has the ability to bring bad luck to anyone she touches. Tormented by her ability, she decides to commit suicide but fate intervenes when she meets Andy, an undead person who wishes for the ‘best death.’ The pair joins the mysterious organization, Union, which consists of people like Fuuko and Andy, and go on missions given by a book called ‘Apocalypse.’
