Shen got back into the ring in chapter 163 of Undead Unluck, titled “Bad Road.”

Shen was left questioning what was happening around him in the entire chapter. Fuuko excitedly explained to him all about the loop and how she knew him, but he didn’t understand a thing. 

She still managed to make him work together with her, and they began the tournament again. Shen was pitched against Void while Fuuko used some of her unluck to instigate Shen’s negation and tragedy.

Fuuko tells him that she knows him better than anyone and tells him all about the loop and how they were friends in the previous world. However, Shen doesn’t really get what she is talking about. 

As he is about to leave, Fuuko asks him about Mui and is happy to know that they have met. She promises to make him stronger and tells him to go along with her. 

Shen takes her skills into consideration and asks her to teach him how to become stronger. The matches for the main competition are announced, and Shen is shocked cause he has to fight a lot of competitors. 

His first match is with Void, but before leaving, Fuuko imbues him with some of her unluck. She tells Nico that she did this because she wants to reel Shen’s tragedy that will lead to him gaining Untruth. 

Void overpowers Shen in the fight. She hopes he will overcome his tragedy through hard trials and bad roads. The chapter ends with Shen figuring out how to fight back.

Undead Unluck is a manga series written and illustrated by Yoshifumi Tozuka. It has been serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump since January 2020. As of May 2023, it is collected into 16 volumes.

The story follows Fuuko Izumo who has the ability to bring bad luck to anyone she touches. Tormented by her ability, she decides to commit suicide but fate intervenes when she meets Andy, an undead person who wishes for the ‘best death.’ The pair joins the mysterious organization, Union, which consists of people like Fuuko and Andy, and go on missions given by a book called ‘Apocalypse.’
