Fuuko shows her team the surveillance camera of a spaceship secretly built by a country attacked by either Uma or an alien. She tells everyone that they will go and save the child named Phil from this spaceship.

He is hiding with his mom right now, and this is when his ability Unfeel will manifest. She explains to them why it is necessary to save him. Nico interrupts, asking her what a child is doing on a spaceship.

Bau explains that sending Phil was part of the New Feeling Project, which tests humans’ adaptability in space. The country has been doing this experiment secretly for the last ten years, and a child gave birth inside the spaceship and was raised there.   

Nico is angry with how science is used to toy with people’s lives. He gets determined to save the child. Everybody gets excited to get chosen for the job, but Nico tells them that only three people can go.  

 

To decide who should go, Fuuko takes the opinion of Billy and Nico to have an objective and a mechanic’s opinion along with herself. Fuuko chooses Creed, Nico, and Void.

Billy chooses Fuuko, Nico, and Creed, and Nico chooses Fuuko, Ichico, and Creed. These lineups are based on the need for a leader, a mechanic, and a striker.

All three of them want Creed to be onboard. However, Billy wants Fuuko to be the leader. He explains to her why he thinks so, and she agrees. Nico is the only one left. Even though he wants to go, he gives Ichico’s name because he thinks Ichico is better.

   

He wants to focus on building the rocket to save the child. However, Fuuko and Billy still want him in because he wants to save Phil more than anyone else.

Fuuko convinces him to save Phil together. Now, the team is set to go. Fuuko is the leader, Creed is the striker, and Nico is the mechanic. With this, they set out to space to save Phil in the quickest way possible.

Undead Unluck is a manga series written and illustrated by Yoshifumi Tozuka. It has been serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump since January 2020. As of May 2023, it is collected into 16 volumes.

The story follows Fuuko Izumo who has the ability to bring bad luck to anyone she touches. Tormented by her ability, she decides to commit suicide but fate intervenes when she meets Andy, an undead person who wishes for the ‘best death.’ The pair joins the mysterious organization, Union, which consists of people like Fuuko and Andy, and go on missions given by a book called ‘Apocalypse.’
