Assassin’s Creed Mirage was initially supposed to be a special DLC expansion for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. However, Ubisoft has clarified that it would be a small-scale throwback to the series’ roots. This is something that the developers have emphasized on repeatedly.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage has been applauded for its major improvements to the classic stealth techniques. It has managed to successfully incorporate modern movements whilst staying true to the original stealth formula from the earlier titles in the series.
AC Mirage features a crouch button which allows players to seamlessly shift between stances. This aids in better movement across the streets of Baghdad. Although some other games in the series also had a crouch button, it wasn’t nearly as intuitive as the one in Mirage.
Players can also make use of a fun slide animation in Assassin’s Creed Mirage. It makes the transition from one position to another much more effortless.
The stealth movements in Assassin’s Creed Mirage are much faster and more dynamic. Basim has a swift pace of movement, and the open-world environment offers the perfect playground to traverse briskly.
For a game revolving around stealth, Assassin’s Creed Mirage has the optimum hiding spots. Apart from classic spots such as hay bales, benches, and in the middle of a thick crowd, players can also hide in tall grass.
Players can also utilize the various stealth abilities available in the game. You can sneakily take down two guards using Chain Assassination or use throwing knives in the air. The ability to manually aim gadgets and tools has been a major improvement from the older Assassin’s Creed titles.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage is certainly a major improvement in terms of stealth mechanics. However, Ubisoft has developed it, keeping in mind the rich history of the franchise. So, don’t be surprised if you come across something reminding you of the earlier Assassin’s Creed titles!
