Ubisoft Extends AC Valhalla’s Ostara Fest in Light of Event Mishaps

Now that its many hiccups have been dealt with, Ubisoft has announced an extension to Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s Ostara festival. Kicked off in mid-march, the festival was initially slated to end on April 8 but its accompanying patch brought an outbreak of bugs and glitches which kept players out of the fest’s Ravensthorpe setting.

This forced Ubisoft to disable the festival in an attempt to resolve errors and prevent any new ones from cropping up. Thus, the festival, which was set to run for a limited time period as it is, experienced an almost week-long shutdown before the game devs deployed Patch 1.2.0.1 on March 26.

The patch focused on tackling crashing problems, as well as restoring the festival’s settlement decorations and event quests.

The festival has now been extended by a week and will conclude on Thursday, April 15. This should allow players more time to explore the content in full, given that the festivals’ shutdown significantly ate into its availability across all platforms. Additionally, this should also placate all the players who had their doubts about not having enough time to experience the festival in its entirety.

Next-up in line for AC Valhalla content is its first major DLC, Wrath of the Druids, which will arrive on April 29. As per Ubisoft, the DLC brings players to Ireland to uncover the secrets of a mysterious ancient cult. Throughout their playthrough, players will discover the occult forests and haunted landscapes of Gaelic folklore while gaining influence among regional kings.

Wrath of the Druids will be followed by The Siege of Paris which is set to drop this summer.
