The Sixth Sense Season 3 Sets Premiere Date for March

The star-studded, no-holding-back cast of The Sixth Sense will be back with season 3 in March, announced broadcasting channel tvN on February 18.

The filming for the variety show reportedly started this month itself, and the premiere date is now set for March 11.

The Sixth Sense has six fixed cast members – prominent TV personality Yoo Jae-suk, actresses Oh Na-ra and Jeon So-min, artists Jessi and Mijoo (former Lovelyz member), and actor Lee Sang-yeob – all of whom have been confirmed to star in season 3 too.

Lee Sang-yeob is the latest member to join the fixed cast in season 2. The show is known for its unique concept where the cast has to visit three places, one of which is entirely fabricated by the production team.

The Sixth Sense is not a show devoid of famous guests. A guest joins the cast on every episode and has to figure out which place is fictional.

Winners (people who vote correctly) earn rewards such as a pack of persimmons, an important part of Korean culture. People who vote incorrectly then have to pick a loser who gets an embarrassing punishment.

For season 2, tvN changed the structure and removed punishments. For winners, they changed the prize to one persimmon per correct voter. It also had a big reward for whoever won the most episodes in the end.

The comedy and mindfulness of the cast members make the show worth watching. With them joining celebrity guests on a hunt, viewers see a new side of the stars.

In December last year, tvN confirmed reports revealing the start of season 3’s production this month, February. The news brought excitement as Season 2 had ended just a few months earlier in September.

It will remain to be seen if tvN changes or adds any rules to make the show more interesting for viewers.

The Sixth Sense season 3 will broadcast every Friday at 5:20 PM KST starting March 11, on tvN channel.

The Sixth Sense (or just Sixth Sense) is South Korean TV variety program that premiered in 2020. In each 90-minute long episode, the cast is instructed to visit three different places along with celebrity guests and figure out which place is made up by the production crew.
