Tsurune: The Linking Shot Ep6 Release Date, Speculation, Watch Online

Kaito and Nao have a childish fight in episode 6 of Tsurune: The Linking Shot titled “Winds of a Brewing Storm.”

As they continue from where they left off in the last episode, we see the two childhood best friends having a real fight over multiple days. It brings down the mood of everyone in the club, and neither of them can practice properly.

Eventually, after talks with their other friends, they realize their issues and resolve them over a friendly duel where everything is put out in the open, and their friendship comes out more vital than ever before.

Practice will resume as usual now that Kaito and Nao are finally back on track, and the rest of the club is also relieved. Moreover, we should see more of Minato’s journey into the depths of kyudo and find his meaning in it.

3. Recap of Episode 5

We glimpse the past as Kaito and Nao play around as a kid and exchange childish comments. Back in the future, Nao and Kaito skip their dinner, much to the worry of their family.

Training resumes as usual as they prepare for nationals. Kaito takes shot after shot and exchanges a silent glare with Nao. Masaki gives more tips as Minato continues to be banned from kyudo.

He has moved on from his frustrations and is now trying his best to improve his grip. There is an unspoken quarrel between Kaito and Nao, and Ryohei tries to interfere and break up their fight, but it only pisses off Kaito even more.

Ryohei feels guilty about starting their fight, and Nao is also frustrated but doesn’t show it. Kaito remembers his previous club, where he got into an argument because of his teammates’ lack of interest in kyudo.

Nao sits alone at a café and thinks about the past when he was bullied by the local bullies in school but rescued by Kaito. He was also the reason he got into kyudo and first showed him the dojo where they started.

Kaito is unable to perform in training as he has got a lot on his mind still and needs closure from the fight with Nao. Minato overhears what’s happening and also feels guilty since he is indirectly the cause of it too.

Minato runs into Nao after school, and he does not beat around the bush and goes to the topic straight up. Nao, however, has a very carefree attitude and is sure that they’ll make up soon enough since he knows Kaito best. 

Minato also gives him a little confidence boost as he talks about his form and arms during kyudo, which isn’t ones of someone who isn’t meant for kyudo. Kaito’s taking everything on himself and is still frustrated.

He gives him a call, challenging him to a duel, and they take it up. The first to miss loses, and they go at it immediately, firing shot after shot, not missing a single one. Multiple shots go through, as they cannot stop firing.

Nao is winning, but they begin fighting yet again, but this time it’s different. It’s similar to their banter as a child, and they put everything out on the table, speaking from their hearts and speaking nothing but what they feel.

They realize the issues as everything is said straight on, and they begin laughing at each other as Nao’s string breaks off and Kaito wins on error. The rest of the club is also glad they’re back to normal.

Tsurune is a light novel by Kotoko Ayano which was adapted into an anime series by Kyoto Animation in 2018. As of 2022, three volumes have been published under Kyoto Animation’s KA Esuma Bunko imprint.

The plot revolves around Minato, a high schooler who has grown up loving archery but developed a sudden target panic. Yet, he is recruited into an archery club in high school and along with his team and instructor finds the true meaning behind his passion.
