The tournament concludes episode 3 of Tsurune: The Linking Shot titled “Winds of a Brewing Storm.”
As Minato faces off against the stronger teams, they are simply outclassed by the pure intensity and pressure exuded mainly by Nikaido and his eccentric form and rhythm, unlike traditional kyudo.
Shu, however, has yet to deviate from his goal and manages to keep his composure and form throughout the whole event and impress his little sister, who is sneakily watching her brother perform.
Here are the latest updates.

Recap of Episode 3
Seiya remembers Nikaido from a past tournament, and the rest of the team is a bit anxious about their performance. Kirisaki lines up to take their shots, and the stadium stands still in anticipation.
Their shots land on target one after the other, and Ryohei sits alongside Shu’s sister while watching their performance, utterly unaware of their relationship. She brings it up accidentally when Ryohei mentions his name in the competition.
Fujiwara lands shot after shot. The entire team has not missed a single shot yet. Their mental and physical capacity to remain focused throughout the round is unmatched.
Much of the audience is now in favor of Kirisaki’s win, considering their impeccable performance. Nikaido’s team is up next, and their form and timing are way different from anyone so far, but they still manage to land shot after shot.
Each has an entirely different and eccentric style of kyudo, and they showcase it to the best of their ability. Minato remembers Nikaido’s teaching and form back then and sees it in all its glory.
Kazemai runs into their team after the round again, Minato compliments their form as they make quick conversation and exchange greetings, and Nikaido instructs their team on what to fix for the next game.
As Kazemai takes their positions and lifts their bows, they go against Nikaido’s team and are pressured by the high intensity, unlike any previous matches. Something’s off for Minato as multiple misses stack on minor mistakes, but he continues landing it.
However, it is still not enough as Tsujimine wins the round and manages to take it to the final round. Kazemai’s members are slightly disappointed as each of them try taking the blame for the loss; through frustration and disappointment, they manage to power through and watch the final round.
Fujiwara and Nikaido exchange their congratulations and modesty as Shu’s team manages to win the tournament through a close match. After the game, Shu calls Minato out for being a bit off during the third round, and he is shocked.
Not knowing what they did wrong, Masaki decides to ban Minato from shooting any shots until he finally understands the reason.
