“Trigun Stampede” to Debut in January with Revived Vash and Nicholas

It’s been over two decades since Vash Stampede made a lasting impression on otakus with his excellent gunman skills and deceptively sweet smile. The crazy protagonist will enter the anime field once again with the upcoming series, Trigun Stampede.

Trigun Stampede will receive a January 2023 debut, and Crunchyroll will simul-stream its episodes worldwide. The 2023 series is a reboot version of the original anime by Studio Orange and Toho Animation.

The video shows the quartet who are rocking modern fashion. Vash is as insane as ever and is joined by Meryl, the ambitious rookie news reporter. Robert Di Niro, the drunk veteran reporter is also present.

Next, Nicholas D. Wolfhood makes an appearance in a dashing outfit bearing his signature cross. Also known as Nicholas the Punisher, he will eventually join Vash’s team.

The new visual shows Vash, Nicholas, Meryl, and Robert. They are either having an adventure in the sky or falling at break-neck speed, it’s too soon to guess.

In the upcoming remake, Vash will continue his search for his twin brother, Knives. The destiny of those who oppose him will gradually merge with him as they are drawn to him.

About Trigun

Trigun is a manga series written and illustrated by Yasuhiro Nightow. Trigun was serialized in Tokuma Shoten’s magazine Monthly Shōnen Captain. It was adapted into a twenty-six episode anime television series by Madhouse and aired from April to September 1998.

It follows the adventures of Vash the Stampede with a 60 billion double dollar bounty on his head. He is accompanied by two insurance agents Meryl Stryfe and Milly Thompson who minimize the inevitible damages that occur due to his appearance.
