An anime adaptation for the isekai light novel Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome Games is Tough for Mobs has been greenlit. The announcement was made through an astonishing PV released on Kadokawa’s official YouTube channel.
The PV introduces us to the protagonist, Leon Fou Bartfort, in a hilarious manner. It starts by showing us the dashing and simpworthy characters of the otome game and then cuts to Leon, a background character of that world.
Leon makes good use of the tips and tricks he learned from his sister, a huge fan of the game, and gets admission into the prestigious Holtfort Academy that the nobles and royalty attend. Soon he starts to interfere in the game’s various storylines and becomes a distinct personality instead of a mere background character.
The franchise also released a visual featuring Leon in the background and the game’s main protagonist and antagonist, Olivia and Angelica, respectively, in the front.
